On-field Coach Training

FYSA wish to support our volunteer coaches as much as possible. Below you will find details of online resources and on-field sessions for coaches. If you have any questions at any point feel free to email Head Coach Gary Joynes: gazzajoynes@gmail.com
Online Resources
The coaching section of our website (https://ferniesoccer.com/content/coaching) contains 12-week training sessions for different age groups.
YouTube is a great resource for ideas. You can search for general ideas for your age group e.g. "U4 soccer games", "U12 soccer drills" or something more specific e.g. "Soccer shooting drills". The Coaching section of our website will be updated over the next few weeks with some good example videos. If you find a good resource over the course of the season please email Gary so it can be included on our website for the benefit of other coaches.
On-field sessions for coaches
FYSA will have coaches available for on-field sessions to help demonstrate games and drills and to answer any questions you may have.
Sunday, May 1st
Baseball Diamond at FSS/Prentice Park
Come dressed for the weather. U4/U6 from 2-3pm and U8/U10/U12/U14/U16/U18 from 3-4pm. We will gear training to the indicated Age Groups for each session - Everyone is welcome to attend the full 2 hours if you would like.

Opening weeks of the season
FYSA Dev coaches will be present at most of the House sessions in the opening weeks of the season. Feel free to ask questions on the field or email ferniesoccer@gmail.com if you want to ask specific questions or request to meet before/after your own sessions.
