Want to Coach?
Our Soccer program can't run without the help of community members. Whether your a parent that wants to get invloved and hang out a bit more with their child, a former player who has a passion for the sport or simply someone someone who likes to get involved in the community, we are happy to have your help and the kids are too!
In order to volunteer with the Fernie Youth Soccer association, we need to ensure that all Volunteers have completed a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC also referred to as criminal record check). You will need to provide the date of your submitted request, as well as the confirmation number, in order to register to be a coach/co-coach.
The process for this has changed this year. You will need access to the BC Services App on a mobile device to complete the VSC by following the link below. If you do not have access to a mobile device, the process can be completed by submitting a paper copy. Please let me know if you will need to complete your VSC with a paper copy, as you can got to any RCMP dispatch office with the completed paperwork. Also, if you have a CRC with another organization or institution, this will not work for FYSA. You will need to request a new one using the FYSA specific access code below. These records are valid for 3 years with our organization. There is no charge associated with activating a BC Services Card and the criminal record check fee (if applicable) has not changed.
If you are interested,
please register by clicking on the link below and email ferniesoccer@gmail.com to let us know. We will send you the organization code and instruction to proceed with requesting a VSC/CRC report.
